When I grow up, I want to be just
like her. This little girl is full of love, and compassion, and hope. She loves either end of a hug and is wise beyond her
years. But she is also full of joy and mischief and quite the handful!
This little girl not only was me, but is the
me I strive to be every day.

You might wonder, "How did you
lose this little girl"? She was worn down by stress and buried under responsibility as I became sidetracked in entrepreneurship
and corporate america.
Along that path, I substituted intellect for wisdom and confused getting ahead with making
progress. Over time, the spiritual and physical toll became overwhelming and I came to a crossroads. Stay on the known, safe
road or take a giant, and very scary, leap of faith?
Could I gamble with my future to have a fulfilling life not only
helping others, but that replenished my spiritual reservoirs rather than deplete them?

I took the leap and when I landed
I found myself at Heartwood Institute among the redwoods of California, studying to become a Holistic Health Practitioner.
Surprisingly, my experience wasn't just limited to learning bodywork skills, science, and ethics.
Soon I became part
of this wonderful healing community, sharing with them a belief in our oneness with the universe. This spiritual bond gives
us all the power of self healing, and allows me to act as a conduit between this vast source of energy and my clients.
Most
importantly, I discovered power and beauty, both in nature and in beings -- and one of them was me.
P.S. I also
found my little girl ;-p
